BOKU is the only Austrian university in the area of Natural Resources Management and Life Sciences and one of the most important Life Science universities that makes vital contributions toward preserving, developing and protecting our environment and quality of life, both locally and globally, for today and future generation.
BOKU has three main sites. The main campus of BOKU is located in the Gregor Mendel Street in Vienna, two further significant sites situated are in Vienna-Muthgasse and in Tulln respectively.
BOKU’s main activities focus around the following major societal challenges: protection of the living space and quality of life, management of natural resources and the environment, securing nutrition and health.
BOKU’s department for Lifelong Learning (LLL) brings all innovative LLL approaches, implementation of validation process in the field of non-formal and informal learning and verity of validation tools, creates flexible educational paths by applying European approach of micro-credentials.
