On July 19, 2024, HAU hosted an in-person event from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a lunch, gathering six participants, including two external farmers. The goal was to discuss the skills needed for precision agriculture and anticipate future developments in the UK. The session began with a presentation of the Erasmus+ LATEST project and the results of the PR4 survey, followed by a discussion on key topics: country-specific data analysis, challenges in data integration, the need for accessible technologies, the required updates in training, and self-training for employees. Participants emphasized the importance of technology for sustainable agriculture and recommended exploring initiatives like Engineers 2030 to reimagine engineering skills for a sustainable future.
