Competences and know-how matrix
The third result of the LATEST project (PR3) aims to contribute to designing a master’s program to enhance the use of AgTech in achieving sustainable agricultural transitions by developing a competencies and know-how matrix.
To achieve this, an analysis of 189 European university modules led to the creation of a binary matrix linking teaching methods to key competencies. The study highlights the complementarity of pedagogical approaches (traditional and innovative) and the interdependence of competencies such as critical thinking and problem-solving. It also emphasizes the need for a balance between specialized knowledge and the development of critical awareness.
These findings offer practical applications for structuring semesters, selecting appropriate teaching methods, and aligning competencies with content. Although the geographical scope is limited, these conclusions provide a solid foundation for an innovative master’s program focused on the skills needed to address the challenges of agricultural sustainability.
