Training 1 - LATEST

Training number 1

The three-day training, organized by Harper Adams University (HAU) as part of the LATEST project, aimed to enhance the skills of teachers and professionals in integrating agricultural technologies and active learning methods to promote sustainable agriculture.

The first day started with a presentation of the project, followed by workshops on innovative pedagogical approaches in AgTech and the use of digital tools in agricultural education. The afternoon was dedicated to an interactive workshop, and the day concluded with a social dinner, encouraging participant exchanges.

On the second day, attendees experienced practical demonstrations, such as the use of drones for crop monitoring and the integration of agricultural robots. In the afternoon, workshops focused on processing drone data and other innovative agricultural applications. The day ended with an informal dinner, strengthening collaboration.

The final day focused on the practical applications of digital technologies. Participants explored the use of environmental sensors and AI tools for weed recognition. After discussions on the results, a closing lunch allowed participants to share lessons learned and plan how to disseminate these new practices within their institutions.

This training promoted active learning and the use of innovations such as AI, drones, and interactive tools, with the goal of spreading these new methods across agricultural institutions.
