PR7 focuses on identifying and designing joint master’s degree programs (JMT) for a comprehensive AgTech master’s program at level 7 of the EQF, aimed at promoting a sustainable agricultural transition. The project addresses gaps in training offerings by proposing master’s pathways in various scientific fields and competencies, as outlined in PR3 and PR4. Using a mathematical optimization model (integer linear programming), the project identified pathways aligned with the skills from PR3, ensuring that all relevant teaching methods can be applied. The identified pathways offer a structured approach to AgTech education, ensuring key competencies are covered each semester with a focus on aligning teaching methods for effective learning. The results suggest that LATEST partners have the capacity to cover all relevant fields and skills, although further alignment of teaching content across semesters is needed. The flexible modeling approach also allows for collaboration with other partners and refinement of the educational framework.
